The Intercessory Prayer Ministry at Seneca Baptist was begun in 1993 by a member of the congregation. It has developed into a group of approximately 65 individuals who pray each week in a designated Prayer Room at an hour they have chosen. The Prayer Room is located on the first level near the fellowship hall.

During the hour the prayer warrior is in the Prayer Room, he or she prays for needs that have been received through such sources as phone calls, prayer requests forms turned in by members of the congregation, and personal requests from individuals. Prayer grams are sent on a weekly basis to offer words of encouragement. All information received in the prayer room is kept confidential by the members.

Since its beginning, the Intercessory Prayer Ministry has seen God answer prayers in many lives, and praise notes continue to be received from people who’ve received God’s grace and blessings.
